Women at Work

Thursday, January 28, 2010

Inspired by my post from yesterday, I decided to dedicate today's post to some photographs of women at work. The photographs below are from one of my favorite collections, 1930s-40s in Color.

I love this photograph simply because the way it is composed and because this woman reminds me of my grandmother. Note the smart cap and soiled apron, this woman works hard.

While the women around her are wearing denim and black aprons, this woman is sporting my Rosie Bunyan look!

I love this one simply because of the goggles! Such a fantastic photograph.

Skills from home in more practical application during wartime. Nicely pressed uniform, neatly styled hair and even earrings! This woman is perfection!
